Choosing a Subject For Your Shakespeare Research Paper TopicWriting a Shakespeare research paper topic is not at all tough but it is always best to choose wisely. In this day and age it has become necessary to keep up with the times so that you are never left out of the modern day innovations. If you find that your subject area is still traditional, then you should give serious thought to diversifying your area of expertise into one that is less rooted in traditional thought.
The biggest mistake people make when writing about Shakespeare is making their audience too familiar with their characters. If you are a student, you should strive to write about something unfamiliar to them, something that they would not know. For example, you could write a Shakespeare research paper on the background of Lear and the other characters in his play. This will keep them interested enough to read your paper without feeling overwhelmed or put off by the subject matter. Try to discover what the audience wants from your Shakespeare research paper topic. When it comes to your topic, it is always better to write about something that they want rather than what you think they want. To help you in this regard, you could consider writing about the different characters in Shakespeare's plays. Take a look at the audience you are dealing with. Based on this, you can decide what information will be relevant to them. Take a look at the relationship between characters. What are the common characteristics among these characters? Which character is the most intriguing to the audience? Which character is the most likely to draw the reader in? This will give you the edge over other writers because you will be able to distinguish which characters will be more interesting to the audience. Knowing this will be crucial when deciding on your Shakespeare research paper topic. You will also need to take a look at the relationships between the characters in your audience. Have they ever met each other before? How many characters are involved? Are they in a good relationship? This will be useful information for you when it comes to choosing your subjects. Do you know who the audience is specifically interested in? A great way to determine this is to ask them, 'Who is the most interesting character in this particular play?' This question will help you narrow down your Shakespeare research paper topic. You should then be able to choose a character that will be more interesting to the audience. These are just a few ideas that can help you with researching the details of the specific characters in Shakespeare's plays. Take some time to learn how to research these characters and you will be able to keep up with the contemporary events.

Essay Topics - The Three Important Issues to ConsiderWhen writing a problem / solution essay, there are three things you must bear in mind. Some problem/solution essays contain too much blank space, the syllabus is vague, and the essay does not fit into any class or university. In this article I'll explore the three aspects of a problem / solution essay, and how to avoid them.
A truly effective problem essay will move beyond the classroom and university format. In other words, it should draw upon both a great deal of classroom knowledge and an equally good deal of research. So, consider the following: it is not enough to address a problem, you must also provide an explanation. In a problem essay, the only important element is an explanation. Consider an example of what I'm talking about. For instance, let's consider a hypothetical problem where a concerned citizen takes action to solve a problem. He knows that his failure to do so will cause tragedy. He therefore uses an 'explanation' as a way to confront the question posed in the problem essay. By doing so, he offers a solution to the problem by answering the question in a clear and simple manner. Now, there is no one set of rules that you must follow in writing a solution essay. However, I do believe that one of the most common mistakes is to just write one lengthy paragraph. Yes, a few paragraphs may seem like they would be adequate, but when it comes to writing a solution essay, this is a very bad idea. Consider the following. First, think about how long you want to describe the problem. For example, a lengthy explanation may be necessary to answer a specific question in a particular topic. It may be necessary to do this, but you shouldn't overwhelm the reader with a long answer. Second, when you look at the syllabus, think about how many problems per topic you expect to cover. Sometimes, each class will have one or two problems. In these cases, the solution must move beyond a description of the problem. Instead, it must offer an explanation. You'll find that in most cases, it is best to write a short, simple, effective essay. To summarize, you must make your solution essay a combination of both a problem and an explanation. |
